During the first six months of the pandemic, sexual violence against women increased, according to a report from Region Sörmland, and the pandemic effect may still be one reason why the need for support does not decrease, says Sofia Liedberg.
"The need has just continued and is now higher than we had before," she says.
Not just pandemic effect
Another reason why topics around incest have become more common in chat may be consumption, says Sofia Liedberg.
"There are many clips with names linked to some kind of relationship where it becomes a matter of incest," she says.
Fria's chat is open in the evenings, Monday and Friday and on Sunday afternoons.
– We usually have the most chats on Sundays and we also see an increase around holidays and holidays, then it is usually because it is tough at home, says Sofia Liedberg.
