This was announced by the head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia Givi Davitashvili, his words are quoted by TASS.

"The study of the application of one of the airlines has already been completed. This is Azimut Airlines, which can fly from May 17," he said.

As Davitashvili noted, permission for flights of the Russian airline was issued on May 15.

On May 10, it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin abolished the visa regime for Georgian citizens from May 15.

It is clarified that this does not apply to Georgian citizens arriving in Russia to work or for a period of more than 90 days for a temporary stay.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the abolition of the visa regime for Georgian citizens in Russia is a humanitarian decision.
