As Pushkov noted, Washington could not calculate the long-term consequences of its decision to freeze $300 billion in Russia's financial reserves.
He stressed that such a decision demonstrated to many countries of the world the unreliability of the dollar as a reserve currency.
"The course of events foreshadows that the US decision to freeze Russian money will be a Pyrrhic victory, and these $ 300 billion are likely to go sideways to the Americans," Pushkov concluded.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the withdrawal of US money from Russians in favor of Ukraine undermines investor confidence.
He noted that it will be necessary to carefully read whether there are any attempts to legally justify such decisions.
