According to RIA Novosti with reference to the center, over the past day in the region it was possible to eliminate two forest and 11 landscape fires on 4376 and 2100 hectares, respectively.
"Nine forest fires on an area of 4721 hectares operate in the Tyumen region, as of the morning of May 13, one of them is localized," the statement said.
988 people and almost 170 pieces of equipment are engaged in fighting fire in the region, as well as firefighting aircraft consisting of five helicopters and one aircraft.
In the Tyumen region, until June 3, a special fire regime has been extended, during which it is forbidden to visit forests and start a fire.
On May 12, an emergency level of fire danger was introduced in the south-west of the Kurgan region.
