The resolution adopted unanimously by the 331 deputies present. Mission accomplished for the rapporteur of the resolution, Renaissance MP Benjamin Haddad. Next step: the European Union. "The ambition is to be at the forefront of a European campaign to include the Wagner group on the European Union's list of terrorist groups," he said, interviewed by Aurélien Devernoix, of RFI's political department. In any case, the France joins Lithuania, which had already voted for this type of resolution, perhaps before Belgium, where a similar text was tabled by the ecologist parties.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the initiative, saying that "this is what the whole world must adopt." "Any manifestation of terrorism must be eliminated and any terrorist must be condemned," he said in his evening address.
