Huaihua, May 5 (Zhang Xueying) Pick a piece of dark blue checked fabric, pick the needle with the thread up along the "Z" shape, and then pick the flower back after reaching the top... Located in the ancient village of Yanejie in Tongxihe Town, Huaihua Yupu County, Hunan Province, Liu Dian Mei, the inheritor of Huayao picking flowers dressed in gorgeous Huayao costumes, is showing tourists the national intangible cultural heritage flower Yao picking flowers.

Behind her, the blue-tile wooden buildings built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty loom in the "clouds", and bluestone roads connect historical sites such as patios, ukan, training grounds, and oil houses. Immersed in it, it is like entering Tao Yuanming's "paradise".

On the 7th, media reporters from ASEAN countries who participated in the "Walking China-2023 ASEAN Mainstream Media Huaihua Tour" interview activity walked into Lupu to visit Yaozhai folk customs, experience intangible cultural heritage, and decode the "immortality" secret of ancient villages.

Yangoejie Ancient Village is a natural village in Tongxihe Town, named for the wild geese inhabiting it in the past, known as "Wonderland on Earth". Due to its remote location and traffic congestion, the village was once reduced to a "hollow village".

In 2014, Hunan Xuefeng Mountain Eco-Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hunan Xuefeng Mountain Company) was introduced to vigorously develop leisure vacation tourism in alpine terraces and Huayao folk experience tourism through excavation of intangible cultural heritage products, cultural and tourism integration, etc., so that the once silent and uninhabited ancient village has been transformed into a well-known check-in place, and has also attracted many foreign hiking enthusiasts to visit and experience.

Today's ancient village of Yangoose Jie, as far as the eye can see, intangible cultural heritage experiences such as bench dragons, puppet shows, blacksmithing, and playing cotton are blooming everywhere, and tourists who come to sightseeing and experience folk customs are endless.

Following the shouting sound from afar, along the trail all the way up to the platform, the intangible cultural heritage market of Yanejie Ancient Village suddenly appeared in front of everyone's eyes, displaying a dazzling array of intangible cultural heritage and creative products such as Dong brocade, bamboo weaving handicraft products, semi-finished handmade DIY gift bags, etc. It is understood that the ancient village is currently focusing on building an intangible cultural heritage bazaar, helping the intangible cultural heritage industry to form a benign "blood-making" and driving villagers to eat "tourist rice".

"The intangible cultural heritage market is open every Saturday, and locals can sell the handicrafts they make in their spare time, which can not only display intangible cultural heritage products, but also subsidize their families." Xia Xiheng, deputy general manager of Hunan Xuefeng Mountain Company, said.

As the birthplace of Qu Yuan culture, Yupu County is rich in intangible cultural heritage resources, from refreshing Huayao picking flowers, to the clapping Chenhe Lian Opera, from the graceful silkworm lantern dance, to the ancient and mysterious puppet play... 2 national intangible cultural heritages, 3 provincial intangible cultural heritages and 41 municipal and county intangible cultural heritages constitute the unique cultural charm of the local area.

In Fengxiang Yao Village, about a ten-minute drive from the Goose Circle, the interview group had just got off the bus when they were stopped by Hua Yao Amei, who was wearing a flower hat and a flower tube skirt.

Doorway wine is one of Huayao's most popular and distinctive ways of welcoming guests. Every grand festival or guests come to the door, Hua Yao Amei will sing and dance, block the door with wine, and tourists listen to very characteristic folk songs and taste local home-brewed rice wine, which can be regarded as obtaining the Yaozhai "pass".

Fengxiang Yao Village, shaped like an antique courtyard, has a construction area of more than 4,000 square meters, with more than 60 rooms of tea halls, if the weather is good, the open space in the middle of the Yao Village will light a bonfire, and when the night falls, the lights are lit, it will send a bonfire party with national characteristics to the tourists.

"Through the 'window' of Yupu, I feel the splendid Chinese culture and the cultural confidence of the Chinese nation." Zeng Huiyang, director of Indonesia's Belt and Road Daily, said that he was deeply impressed by the profound historical and cultural heritage and the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage. "I will not only come back in the future, but also bring my family and friends with me." (End)
