On the afternoon of May 6, Zakhar Prilepin's car was blown up in the Nizhny Novgorod region. RIA Novosti reported that Prilepin's driver was killed. Medical workers noted that the writer was hospitalized with leg wounds.
The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, confirmed that Prilepin received minor fractures as a result of the explosion of his car, there is no threat to his health.
