The rebellious leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon defended Saturday in Marseille the Nupes, which has just celebrated its first anniversary, while acknowledging that this left alliance remained "difficult" and "complicated". "It's been a whole year since we created La Nupes, of course it was difficult, of course it remains difficult, of course it's complicated, so what? Do you have to do the easy things in life? Then it would be done quickly!", said Jean-Luc Mélenchon on the sidelines of a "march of all anger" in the second city of France.

Coronation of Charles III: Mélenchon criticises "the dripping syrups of the monarchy"

Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Saturday criticized "the dripping syrups of the monarchy" for the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in London. While the head of state Emmanuel Macron, present at the coronation, congratulated the monarchs "friends of the France", Jean-Luc Mélenchon regretted that "while dripping on television the disgusting syrups of the monarchy (...) so many people live in misery," speaking at a demonstration in Marseille.

A critique of the number of articles that point out problems

He criticized the press and the number of articles to "explain the problems that would exist". "Everything is rotten in this system, the accessory, the stupid is highlighted, and what matters, which is serious, done with work is relativized," he regretted, citing for example the adoption Thursday in the Assembly of a bill against the dismantling of EDF carried by the left.

Against the advice of the government, the National Assembly adopted Thursday this text to "protect EDF from a dismemberment", which also intends to expand the number of companies and communities benefiting from regulated electricity tariffs. This bill, carried by the left and supported by the right and the National Rally, was validated by 127 votes to 89, with one abstention.
