"The drone attack on the Kremlin is a direct attack on the residence of the Russian government," he said in an interview with the U.S. Tour of Duty YouTube channel.

Ritter stressed that this incident is a political act that will not bring Kiev military advantages.

In his opinion, the responsibility for the attack lies with Ukraine and its sponsors: the United States, NATO and the European Union.

"Everything that Ukrainians hoped to get from this act pales in comparison to the situation in the theater of operations," Ritter said.

He expressed confidence that the incident will not change the overall situation in which Kiev is defeated in the conflict.

Earlier, the assistant to the head of Chechnya, the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, expressed confidence that the counteroffensive would end in defeat for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He stressed that after an attempted counteroffensive, Kyiv will be absolutely powerless to raise any funds in order to wage a defensive war.
