The corresponding government decree is published on the official portal of legal information.
"Until April 1, 2025, on the territory of new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the introduction of goods into circulation, and (or) turnover, and (or) withdrawal from circulation of goods can be carried out without labeling by means of identification of such goods and the existing transfer of information to the monitoring information system, unless otherwise provided by this provision," the document says.
State Duma deputy Artyom Kiryanov previously spoke about the advantages of labeling products in Russia.
According to him, thanks to the labeling, more than 30 illegal tobacco industries have been closed and 18 new legal ones have appeared.
He also noted that the shoe market in the first half of 2022 "whitewashed" by 19%, a year earlier - by another 35%.
