On the territory of the Zaporozhye region, the activities of a sabotage and terrorist group consisting of agents of the Ukrainian special services were suppressed. This is reported by the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.

"As a result of the measures taken at the preparation stage, a terrorist act against one of the leaders of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was suppressed," the report said.

As noted in the special service, a criminal case was initiated against two detained members of the group, citizens of Ukraine born in 1984 and 1979, under Part 3 of Article 30 and paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 (preparation for a terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Russia. They are in custody.

It is specified that they collected data on the location of Russian military facilities, personnel of the Russian Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies of Russia, as well as on pro-Russian local residents. Their involvement in previously committed sabotage and terrorist acts is also being checked.

An explosive device prepared for use, as well as automatic small arms, ammunition and explosives were seized from the detainees.

As noted in the FSB, the actions of the saboteurs were coordinated by the Ukrainian special services - both directly through the employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Umansky, Andrei Nikulin, recruiting agent Victoria Budnikova, and through an intermediary - Yulia Tkachuk, who is in Finland.

"All the circumstances of the criminal activity, as well as the persons involved in it, are being established," the FSB concluded.

A video of the interrogation of the detainees was also published, in which the man confesses to preparing a terrorist attack on the instructions of the special services of the Kiev regime, and the woman confessed "to storing a certain package."

Suppression of terrorist attacks in Crimea

On May 3, the FSB announced the suppression of the activities of the intelligence network of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which was planning a series of high-profile sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of Crimea. The targets of the terrorists were the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, the chairman of the parliament Vladimir Konstantinov and the mayor of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko.

Seven members of the intelligence network of the military intelligence of Ukraine were arrested for two months.

As follows from the message of the FSB, the group planned terrorist attacks and conducted surveillance of officials using special technical means, and also acquired firearms. Among the detainees was also a citizen of Ukraine and Bulgaria, involved in the delivery of weapons to Russia.

An international channel organized by the Ukrainian special services for the smuggling of explosives and components of explosive devices camouflaged as household electric stoves, organized by the Ukrainian special services, was also opened and localized.

"The direct organizer of the terrorist attacks and the coordinator of the preparation of the murders of high-ranking officials is the close connection of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov - an officer of the current reserve of military intelligence Roman Mashovets, born in 1976, who has held the post of deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky since 2020," the FSB said in a statement.

In turn, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, expressed gratitude to the FSB officers who prevented an attempt on the leadership of the Russian region and the infrastructure of the peninsula, prepared by the Ukrainian special services.

"The suspects have been detained. This is the same group that blew up the railway tracks in the Bakhchisarai district. There is no doubt that the masterminds of the crime are in Kiev. Ukraine is a terrorist state. Our special services are working clearly, professionally and effectively. And we will definitely find customers and punish them," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
