According to Svintsov, this is an "extremely important" topic for both Russians and citizens of any country.

"Because biometric data is unique, so, of course, their leakage, falsification are extremely sensitive things for any citizen," the deputy said.

Therefore, according to the parliamentarian, the responsibility for violations in the use of biometric data should be "as high as possible."

Earlier it became known that the State Duma introduced a draft on administrative responsibility for violations in the use of biometric data.

It is noted that the document was introduced by the chairman of the lower house of the Russian parliament Vyacheslav Volodin and the leaders of parliamentary factions.

For violations when using biometrics, a fine of 6 to 10 thousand rubles will be threatened, for officials it will be from 100 to 300 thousand rubles, and for legal entities - up to 700 thousand rubles.
