Shorty's Drug Lord Sons Accused of Smuggling Fentanyl to U.S.

According to the indictment of the Mexican prosecutor's office, Shorty's sons created a large network of laboratories engaged in the production of a cheap drug, which was then smuggled into the United States.

According to prosecutors, fentanyl is so cheap to produce that the cartel makes huge profits, even selling the drug in bulk for 50 cents per pill.

It is noted that between August 2021 and August last year, more than 107,000 Americans died from drug overdoses.

In January 2016, the Mexican authorities conducted a special operation to capture drug lord Joaquin Guzman Loera, nicknamed El Chapo (Shorty). During the shootout, six people were killed, including one marine. The offender was sent to the Altiplano prison, from which he escaped in July 2015.
