The police received an alarm about loud bangs at 14.37 pm on Kadettgatan. At the scene, they found that several apartments were shelled.
"We don't have the number of apartments now, but there are several that have bullet holes," says Rickard Lundqvist, police spokesman.
There must have been at least one person in one of the apartments who was hit, but the person should not have been injured, according to police.
Witness heard three bangs
According to SVT's reporter on site, a police helicopter is buzzing over the area and a large area around the courtyard is cordoned off.
A woman who wishes to remain anonymous witnessed the incident when she was going out with her stroller. She tells SVT's reporter that it hit three times.
"When I turned around, I saw three people dressed in dark clothes disappear on electric scooters," she says.

No casualties
So far, the police have not found any injured person either in the apartments or in the immediate area.
There is as yet no criminal offence.
