Blekingetrafiken itself has been able to identify several question marks among residents after the news about the carpooling app became known.

"In a way, it's good to be questioning, but I think it's a first reaction. When you familiarize yourself with the app a little more, you probably realize that it has a different purpose, says Mona Glans, traffic director at Blekingetrafiken.

The carpooling app "Nabogo" will work in all five municipalities of Blekinge this autumn, but has so far begun to be used in Ronneby and Olofström. The idea of the app is that you should be able to easily find someone to carpool with.

Is about little money

Blekingetrafiken has received several questions about the app, both about how it has been used - but also received questions about, for example, the security of the app. How is it guaranteed? Others think that the application can be used to make money, for example, by people choosing to give a ride to a relative.

– I really believe that the risk of the app being misused is very small. There is far too little money this is about, says Mona Glans.

The app company pays the driver a fixed price of SEK 15 for each ride between 0-10 kilometers. If the trip exceeds one mile, the passenger pays one krona per kilometer for the rest of the trip.
