Nanning, April 4 (ZXS) -- Picking fabrics, filling herbs, sewing sachets... On April 24th, 4 international students in Gui experienced the production skills of "Youjiang Zhuang Nationality" at Guangxi Overseas Chinese School and felt the charm of Zhuang intangible cultural heritage.

On the same day, the opening ceremony of the "Overseas Chinese Youth Chinese Culture Experience Camp" was launched in Guangxi Overseas Chinese School. More than 100 Chinese youth from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar participated in the online session.

The experience camp was hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and hosted by Guangxi Overseas Chinese School.

Relevant officials of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said that this activity aims to help the majority of Chinese teenagers learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture and Zhuangxiang culture. It is hoped that campers can increase their knowledge, deepen their understanding of their home country, and become active promoters of cultural exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese culture and other countries in the world.

Yao Yuanzhong, principal of Guangxi Overseas Chinese School, said that this experience camp arranged courses such as colorful intangible cultural heritage, Dong culture, and urban culture in Guangxi for online campers, and arranged various activities for offline campers, such as Zhuang "Qiqi" making, Chinese pastry experience, and study outings.

Xu Qiaolin, principal of Chanthaburi Public East British School in Thailand, spoke online via video, saying that he hoped that the campers would cherish this learning opportunity and work with young friends from other countries to fully understand and experience Zhuangxiang culture, inherit and carry forward Chinese culture, and become ambassadors of Thailand-China friendship.

In the next four days, more than 4 overseas Chinese teenagers will learn Chinese culture online "in the cloud", and 100 international students in Gui will go to Liuzhou City and Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County in Guangxi to experience local culture on the spot.

"In the morning, I experienced the art of 'Qiqiao' and learned about its cultural connotation, which I found very interesting. I will give the sachet to my family to wish them safety and health. Tao Shi Yuezhen, a Vietnamese student studying linguistics and applied linguistics at Guangxi University for Nationalities, said in an interview with reporters that she looks forward to gaining an in-depth understanding of Chinese traditional culture in this experience camp.

"Chinese culture has a long history and is broad and profound. Learning Chinese culture well, inheriting Chinese culture, and telling Chinese stories well is the common responsibility of our overseas Chinese youth. This activity is a good opportunity for us to learn more about Chinese culture and experience Zhuangxiang folk customs. At the same time, I hope to have the opportunity to participate in offline activities and feel the charm of Chinese culture at 'zero distance'. Online camper representative Chen Wanmei said.

Relevant officials of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said that Guangxi will deepen educational cooperation with overseas countries, build the brand of "Study in Guangxi", jointly open up a new situation in multilateral economic, cultural and educational development in the new era, and expand mutual learning and people-to-people ties between Chinese and foreign civilizations.
