Jansson (S) on the meeting with China's ambassador: "The Chinese market is important"

During the meeting in Eskilstuna, issues such as business development, environmental issues and human rights were discussed.

China's market is important

Jansson (S) highlights the importance of the Chinese market and how it affects companies in Eskilstuna.

– We see how important the Chinese market is for several of the companies in Eskilstuna to also do well and generate jobs here, he explains.

Another issue discussed during the meeting was climate and environmental work, an issue that Jansson (S) hopes China can be inspired by.

"If they do differently, it makes a very big difference on the planet in practice, so if we can sow a small seed in that area, it's very welcome," he says.

Human rights

Something that also came up was human rights, but on that issue Jansson (S) has not succeeded in creating an overall picture of how China stands on that particular issue.

"I have no idea what other image China has, not from this meeting at least," he said.
