It is noted that traffic police inspectors stopped the car in which Kibalchenko was on the Kaluga highway. During the verification of documents, the passenger in the car "began to be very nervous and behave inadequately," so he and the driver were carefully checked, the agency writes.

According to investigators, the scientist wanted to leave Russia in transit through Belarus and thus hide from the court.

"Due to the fact that the defendant Kibalchenko escaped from house arrest, a check is being carried out," the agency's interlocutor said.

The law enforcement agencies announced their intention to open a criminal case on this fact. Investigators also appointed a number of examinations.

The defendant was sent to a pre-trial detention center, the report said.

It is noted that TASS does not yet have official comments from law enforcement agencies.

In August 2022, RIA Novosti, citing the official representative of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in Moscow, Yulia Ivanova, reported that, according to investigators, Kibalchenko offered his friend to kill his former son-in-law for $50 thousand. Three more people were involved in the crime. The former son-in-law of the scientist was put in a car using a stun gun, taken to Krasnogorsk and killed there. The UK reported that the organizer of the murder then tried to leave Russia. In a short time, all the defendants in the case were detained.
