Saldo spoke about the decision to seize boats in the Kherson region for the needs of the military

He made the corresponding statement during a meeting of the regional government.

"Last week, I gave the order to collect the possible number of small vessels, boats that our military needs," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, the measures were taken in accordance with the legislation on martial law.

The acting governor said that the owners of the seized boats, for which they were the means of production, can receive compensation from the administration of the Kherson region, as well as claim the full return of the property after "a certain time."

Since October 20, 2022, martial law has been introduced in the territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
