This time it was Minister for Development Aid and Foreign Trade Johan Forrsell (M) who gave a statement on the import of Russian fossil energy when loud shouts were once again heard from the gallery.

"I would like to remind you that the proceedings of the House must not be disturbed by an audience in the gallery," said Third Vice-President Kerstin Lundgren (C).

Handed over to police

Guards were asked to remove the demonstrators and order was soon restored.

"Two people in the public gallery expressed opinion. The persons were arrested by security guards for disturbing the ordinance and then promptly handed over to the police, says Carina Larsson, press secretary at the Riksdag administration.

On Monday, a protester had to be dragged out of the venue by guards after shouting "restore wetlands" and "ban peat mining".
