EU environment ministers will visit Uppsala Castle on Tuesday evening. So are activists.

"We are protesting today for all Europe's environment ministers to get a different picture of Swedish forestry than the government gives," said Carl Schlyter, spokesman for Greenpeace.

The organization expects a turnout of about 200 people, most of them from the Uppsala area.

Police on site

The demonstration has been authorised by the police.

– We will have police on site, but there are no signs that this will not go smoothly, says police spokesman Jonas Eronen.

The action will last between 18:30 p.m. and 22 p.m., when dinner is over.
