As leader of the Center Party, he travels around the country a lot, and this week his turn had come to his home county, Östergötland.

With regard to the Easter riots, he is clear that both prison sentences and preventive measures must be in place. Society must be able to set limits, while it is early resources that give the best results, both humanly and economically, he says.

Demirok has had to take over a party with low poll numbers. He does not believe in a quick fix, but the work to attract more voters is a slow process. Besides, it's a completely new job for him.
