These funds, carried out in the reporting documents under the column "other income", provided the company with a net profit of 195 million rubles. This is 665% more than in 2021, and the largest figure for all time. At the same time, the revenue of the legal entity from the main type of activity for the same period decreased by 52% - from 395.9 million to 189.9 million rubles. According to an interlocutor close to Dozhd, such reporting data may be associated with increased attention to the media project of foreign sponsors.

It is noted that a large source of "other income" has appeared.

According to this line in the report for the year, 500 million rubles passed. As a result, net profit, which in the previous three years ranged from 13 to 26 million, in 2022 amounted to 195 million rubles.

According to the Accounting Regulations, in column 2340 ("other income"), the organization has the right to conduct, among other things, funds received "free of charge, including under a donation agreement" (PBU 9/99, paragraphs 7-9). As the Rosstat database shows, the largest amount for the entire existence of the TV channel passed on its accounts in the year of the beginning of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the NWO, the TV channel has regularly contradicted the official data of the Ministry of Defense on its airs and exposed Russian servicemen in an unflattering light.

In March 2022, the Prosecutor General's Office demanded that access to Dozhd's information resources be restricted in connection with the "purposeful and systematic" posting of calls for extremist activity on the website, and in May the Tverskoy Court of Moscow approved the decision.

After the channel's sponsors realized the inevitability of closing the project in Russia, the only thing they could do was to form a "safety cushion" for Dozhd to move and close its current needs for this, says an RT source familiar with the situation.

"The funds, with a high probability, came free of charge from sponsors - media mogul Durk Sauer or the former wife of the general director of Dozhd Natalia Sindeeva **, the founder of the Chaika network of clinics Alexander Vinokurov," the source said.

Dozhd announced a temporary suspension of work in Russia in March 2022 due to the law on criminal prosecution for fakes about the Russian Armed Forces, which provides for up to 15 years in prison.

In September, the channel was already broadcasting from Latvia and Georgia, but in December, a scandal erupted because of the statement of Dozhd employee Alexei Korostelev. Official Vilnius regarded the journalist's words as a "threat to national security" and deprived the channel of its license.

After that, the former publisher of Vedomosti, Dutch media mogul Durk Sauer, lobbied for the channel to move to the Netherlands. RT was the first to report on the decision, and reported on the impending sale of 50% of the channel to Sauer. The result was the receipt of a Dutch broadcasting license in January 2023, and the opening of a new legal entity in Amsterdam, TVR Studios B.V.
