The Potato Call

In order to shine a spotlight on the good qualities of potatoes in times of crisis and war, the County Administrative Board of Gävleborg, together with a number of other organizations, has breathed life into the Potato Appeal, which was originally started in 2020.

– Today, the county's self-sufficiency rate of potatoes is 11 percent and through the Potato Appeal we want to highlight the opportunities for increased production and consumption, writes Rebecka Wikström, responsible for Gävleborg's food strategy at the county administrative board in a press release.
