The PSOE has sent this Saturday a warning message to Podemos about its future confronting it with its own party history with more than a century of history: "All the organizations that are born conjuncturally at the dawn of a political situation and do not take root in the villages, in the cities ... The wave passes and they leave no trace."

The person in charge of sending the message to the purple formation in full struggle for the leadership of the space located to its left has been its deputy secretary general of the Socialists and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero. "Political organizations, regardless of the situation, are nothing more than a summer night when they are not rooted in the territory," he stressed.

He has done so during the inauguration of the municipal conference of the PSOE held this weekend in Valencia to launch the electoral campaign on May 28. In his speech, he has valued the management of the mayors of the party which he has said are the "articulation of the useful policy that citizens expect from a centennial organization that has been changing this country for centuries from sacrifice, effort and involvement".

"The strength of this party is its deep roots," Moreno insisted, paraphrasing former President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, whom he preceded in the use of the word.

For his part, Zapatero has made a fierce defense of the management of the current president and, in particular, has praised his "leadership" and his "vision of the future" when applying pardons to those convicted by the procés. "Thanks to the Government of Pedro Sánchez the future of Spain is a state of stability," he stressed.
