Mercedes-Benz refused to cooperate with Moldova because of the re-export of cars to Russia

"The German concern Mercedes-Benz no longer has an official dealer in Moldova. The information was confirmed in the central office of the manufacturer, "the article says.

It is specified that the decision may be related to the possible export of new cars and spare parts outside the country after their official import.

Earlier, the radio station "Moscow speaking", citing the press service of VTB, reported that every tenth new car sold in Russia came into the country thanks to parallel imports.

In February, the number of cars sold under this scheme increased by 16% compared to January.

In October, Mercedes-Benz announced its intention to withdraw from the Russian market and sell shares in its Russian subsidiaries, including a plant in the Moscow region, to the Avtodom dealer.
