The commander of the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hemedti), accused the head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, of carrying out a conspiracy by supporters of ousted President Omar al-Bashir, and said that the guest palace, the presidential palace, the army general command and all airports are under the control of the RSF.

The capital Khartoum and several Sudanese cities are witnessing violent clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, as the army closed bridges and roads leading to the presidential palace in central Khartoum with heavy armored vehicles, and deployed cannons and armored vehicles in the city of Omdurman.

Hemedti said in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher that his forces neutralized all the planes on which Burhan depends, which he described as "a criminal and a liar and will destroy Sudan, and we will hand him and his aides to justice."

He added that the RSF has no animosity with the army, "We did not attack anyone, and our fighting is a reaction to our siege and assault, and we were surprised today by large forces that surrounded our forces in the campground, and our things are very good and we control all headquarters."

Hemedti expressed regret "for fighting with our people, but the criminal is the one who forced us to do so, the fighting was imposed on us after the attack on us and our siege, the battle will be decided in the coming days."

He sent a message to "the honorable people of the armed forces to join the people's choice and we represent it, democracy has a price, and I am doing my best youth now for that."

He added that "more than 100 officers and thousands of soldiers from the armed forces surrendered to us, we took control of the airports, to prevent them from targeting us with aircraft," stressing that the headquarters of the Rapid Support are fixed, and talk about controlling them is a lie.
