"The goals of the project are to pass on to future generations the memory of the glorious victories at the fronts and in the rear, to preserve the continuity of the glory of our heroes, as well as to support our fighters who are performing complex combat missions today on the frontline in the fight against the Nazi Kiev regime," the report says.

Within the framework of the project, individual family banners will be made in the form of assault flags with the combined symbols of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation. On the cloth of each flag will be applied an image - portraits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

At the second stage of the project, the banners will be transferred to the zone of a special military operation for placing them on military equipment or using them as assault flags of foot units.

The final idea is the return of banners from the zone of a special military operation, which will then become family heirlooms.

"For every patriot, this good tradition will be another opportunity to pay tribute to the glorious ancestors," the IC said.

Earlier, RT reported that the Investigative Committee of Russia took part in the action to preserve objects of historical significance in Lugansk.
