A violent group assaulted last Saturday a Cuban restaurant in the Madrid neighborhood of Lavapiés shouting "fascists out", while causing damage to the premises and assaulting the employees of the establishment, several Cubans linked to the anti-Castro opposition. One of the owners of this place is the activist against the Cuban regime and responsible for the association Movement Actions for Democracy in Spain, Lázaro Mireles, who was not in the place at the time of the events.

According to the head of the restaurant ApuLuLu, located in the San Fernando Market, the attacks have been happening practically since they opened a year ago for their link against the Cuban regime, although he emphasizes that the "escalation" has reached its maximum with this assault, which occurred last Holy Saturday around 22.00 hours.

The owner of the bar, who filed a complaint for the facts, said that the aggressors, who are part of the environment of another business in the market, arrived at the place shouting "fascists out". According to his testimony, this violent group began to break glass, bottles and crockery of the establishment, which caused cuts in one of the waiters, for which he had to be treated in a hospital center.

Also, one of the managers of the establishment received several blows when trying to hold the assailants until the arrival of the Police.

Miguel Caballero, another of the owners of the premises, has also accused "two or three market stalls" of directing this pressure against his restaurant, and although he recognizes the "fear" with which he and his employees come to work, he has assured that he will not leave his location "at least until ten years from now", when your concession expires.

"We are in one of the most communist neighborhoods of Madrid, where the communist and anarchist unions and the Cuban Consulate basically operate. They don't tolerate us being there," the owner said.

The deputy mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, showed her support for the bar on Sunday in a visit after which she published several photos on social networks indicating that the place was "attacked by liberticides of the extreme left" since "there are those who do not support their struggle or their desire for freedom."

According to sources of the investigation, the attackers tried to assault the waiters, to whom they threw numerous objects in an attack allegedly related to ideological disagreements. After the events, the agents went to the bar, where they did not find any injured who required emergency health care. In addition, they carried out several raids in the surroundings, but failed to locate the attackers.
