This, according to RIA Novosti, was reported in social networks by former colleagues of the deputy.

It is noted that the incident occurred last week.

"Unpleasant news - Vladimir Stretovich died in a car accident a few hours ago," said former Rada deputy Alexander Doniy.

This information was also confirmed by another former parliamentarian Mikhail Pozhivanov.

As Ukrainian journalist Myroslava Berdnik wrote in her Telegram channel, shortly before his death, Stretovich headed the seizure of the temple of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

What kind of temple is in question, she did not specify.

On April 9, the canonical UOC announced an attempt to seize the cathedral in Kamianets-Podilskyi in the Khmelnytskyi region.

In addition, the Rivne Regional Council decided to ban the activities of the canonical UOC in the region.

First Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov said that the State Duma on April 12 will consider a statement on the repressive policy of the Kiev regime aimed at destroying the canonical UOC.
