In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), "divorce is consummated" within the Lamuka coalition, according to Adolphe Muzito's camp. For several months, the gap has widened with Martin Fayulu. The two men had previously shared the presidency of the opposition platform they co-founded.

But on March 31, Martin Fayulu claimed that Adolphe Muzito had withdrawn himself from the platform. He denies and accuses his former ally of wanting to monopolize the political coalition. An accusation reiterated on April 9, 2023, in a statement, after the appointment by Martin Fayulu of a new coordinator – Professor Mathieu Kalele – at the head of Lamuka.

Albert Mukulubundu, spokesman for Aldophe Muzito's New Momentum party, denounced an act of "rebellion". "We consider that the divorce is consummated in view of Martin Fayulu's behavior," he told Pauline Le Troquier. He organized in violation of Lamuka's texts a transfer of power to Mathieu Kalele who is not a member of the Lamuka Presidium. This is a serious fault that annoys the Lamuka convention and we consider, since Mr. Fayulu organized a rebellion. »

"So we are organizing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 a handover ceremony to our party, the New Momentum. Unfortunately, we do not accept this kind of practice and we are respectful of the texts. So Martin Fayulu did this kind of act. We are only reminding him of his self-exclusion."
