Ukraine's Emergency Agency announced on social media on the 9th that a 50-year-old father and 11-year-old daughter were killed when a house was hit by a missile attack by Russian troops in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporozhye. The 46-year-old mother was also injured in the attack and taken to hospital.

From the local footage, we can see the enormous damage, such as after the house collapsed severely and the room and car burned violently.

Ukraine Restoration of damaged power facilities proceeds

Ukraine's Minister of Energy Khashchenko announced on social media on the 8th that with the support of the international community, the restoration of damaged power facilities in various places has progressed, and surplus electricity has been restored to the point where it can be exported.

While prioritizing domestic supply, the government decided to resume exporting electricity to neighboring countries in order to secure the financial resources necessary for the complete reconstruction of the power infrastructure.

The British Ministry of Defense pointed out on the 8th that "it is highly likely that the attempt to inflict serious damage on the power system ended in failure," and the American think tank "War Institute" analyzed on the 8th that "Russia seems to have given up on its attempt to degrade the power infrastructure."

Ukraine's state-owned power company "Ukruenergo" announced on the 8th that it has been hit by more than 1200,250 missiles and drones in the past six months, of which about 43 were hit and 6% of the main power grid was damaged.

He claims that he has restored most of the damaged power grids so far, saying, "In the coldest six months, the enemy tried to take away electricity and heating, but we have crushed this attempt."

Electric return to the capital Kyiv

Since October last year, the capital Kyiv has suffered a serious power shortage due to repeated missile attacks by the Russian army, but Ukraine's Ministry of Energy says that there have been no planned power outages for about two months due to the progress of restoration of damaged power facilities.

According to local media, the trolley bus that runs on electricity has been fully resumed since mid-February, and many citizens were seen using it on the 10th.

In addition, large commercial facilities once refrained from using huge screens for advertising attached to the exterior walls, but they have now resumed.
