A report produced by researchers at KTH and Chalmers University of Technology analyses Swedes' air travel in relation to the goals of the Paris Agreement. In various scenarios with, among other things, alternative aviation fuels and expanded train traffic, it has been calculated how often we can fly.

And it needs to be reduced compared to today.

"You can only make longer journeys every four years," says traffic researcher Jonas Åkerman at KTH.

According to Jonas Åkerman, there is a slight difference in the answer depending on which scenario you choose, but about half of all flights we make abroad we need to skip.
