Prior to this, the group also visited Peking University, the National Museum, the Forbidden City, Nanluoguxiang and other places to feel Chinese traditional culture, taste Beijing's special food, and watch the flag-raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square.

The Red House of Peking University was built in 1916, which set off the climax of the New Culture Movement and was also an important source of the May Fourth Movement, and in 1961, it was listed as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. Hong Kong teachers and students walked into the May Fourth Parade Preparatory Office, Li Dazhao's Library Director's Office and other places, and relived the glorious history of the New Culture Movement and the May Fourth Movement through old newspapers and magazines, vivid restoration scenes and multimedia video materials.

Mok Kailin, who is studying at Hanhua Secondary School in Hong Kong, was one of the students who participated in the activity. She told the reporter of China News Network that she admired the literati at that time, including Lu Xun, Chen Duxiu, etc., who were able to awaken from the feudal system for thousands of years, have the courage to criticize the feudal system, and advocate open thinking, which was a very difficult thing at that time. These courages, enlightenments, and endless learning spirits are worth learning.

Li Yioting, who has been interested in history and culture since he was a child, is a Grade 5 student at Hong Kong Pui Kiu High School. He shared with reporters that the school teacher had introduced the May Fourth Movement when teaching modern history, and democracy and science were also mentioned in the school song.

Yang Lan, also from Hong Kong Pui Kiu High School, also made her feel a lot from this trip. She said she was born on May 5, and "I saw that people who had knowledge before worked so hard, and I also wanted to work hard and study well." After the visit, she also specially bought her sister a cultural and creative souvenir printed with the "New Youth" pattern, hoping to encourage her to cheer for the college entrance examination.

Hui Wenhao, a teacher from Hong Kong Hanhua Middle School, said that in previous years, students had few opportunities to visit the mainland due to the epidemic, and they went to different scenic spots and explored the historical significance and cultural spirit behind them, which is believed to help increase their knowledge, improve cultural self-confidence, and feel the better and better development of the motherland.
