In January, it became known that LUKOIL signed an agreement on the sale of the Isab oil refinery in Italy to the G.O.I. Energy group.

"It was assumed that the deal could be closed before the end of March, but the Italian authorities needed additional time to analyze it," the Financial Times reported, citing two sources.

It is noted that the deadlines were extended due to the fact that Washington in informal conversations asked Rome to confirm that there was no Russian participation in the work of G.O.I. Energy.

In December, LUKOIL Chief Executive Officer Vadim Vorobyov said that the company's plant in Bulgaria supplies petroleum products to the country's domestic market and within the framework of export quotas.
