It is therefore not only Alfred Nobel's story, but also the story of his brothers, Robert and Ludvig, that must be told. The three brothers have made a great impression in world history through their inventions. The production's ambition is to tell about their ups and downs in a personal way, to a wide audience both on Swedish television and on foreign TV channels.

With the help of, among other things, thousands of letters, archival material, photographs, experts and interviews with living relatives of the brothers, the audience gets to know the brothers and their world-famous inventions.

"A lot of people know Alfred Nobel, but there is an incredibly large family there with people who were just as important. Both men and women, says Nathalie Regnér, producer.

The film is based on the book "Immanuel Nobel & söner – svenska snillen i tsarernas Russia" by Bengt Jangfeldt.
