The egg packing factory located in Nälden in Jämtland and which receives 90 tons every week from various egg producers in northern Sweden was completely destroyed in the fire.

– What has happened to them is terribly tragic and it is one's own worst nightmare if our plant were to burn, says Emelie Löfgren in Yttertavle outside Umeå.

May become problems after Easter

With a production of 45,000 eggs per day, she is currently Västerbotten's largest egg producer and all her eggs are packed in cartons in the egg packing factory in Jämtland. But she is still not worried that there will be a shortage of eggs before Easter.

"All the eggs that are going to the stores are already packed, so Easter is saved. But then there may be problems, although I hope that other egg packing factories in northern Sweden will support those affected by the fire and help pack the eggs from us producers, says Emelie Löfgren.
