According to TASS, the two-day 57th round started after a six-month break. On the first day of the discussion, the South Ossetian delegation met with the co-chairs and moderators of the two working groups on security and humanitarian issues.

"On April 4, the two-day 57th round of discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia began in Geneva," the South Ossetian ministry said.

It is specified that a thorough exchange of views also took place between the parties on the need to continue the Geneva process and return to the regular regime of rounds.

In January, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova spoke about the situation with the Geneva discussions.
