The current agreement for bus services in Haninge, eastern Huddinge, Nynäshamn and Tyresö expires in 2025 and therefore the Transport Administration has now submitted a proposal for a decision ahead of a new procurement.
This includes phasing out bus lines that run parallel to commuter trains. As Nynäshamnsposten was the first to report, this may mean that bus 861 is cancelled.
Petition started
On Monday, a petition was started in protest against the proposal – by, among others, the chairman of the municipal executive board in Nynäshamn, Moderate Marcus Svinhufvud. "We will continue to fight for bus 861 to remain," he wrote in a post on social media.
But the Green Party believes that the bus will remain.
