"We make up for it with Western technology, mostly American and Korean ... not the newest one we dream of. It will have to wait about three to four years," Zemke told RMF24.

The former head of the defense ministry called on the current authorities of the country to pay attention to the lack of funding for the country's Navy.

"We are a maritime state, we have interests in the Baltic Sea, and not only in it. We need to invest in the navy," he added.

The representative of the Polish president, responsible for international affairs, Marcin Przydacz, said earlier that the Polish side handed over several MiG-29 fighters to the Kiev regime.
