On the morning of April 3, Daria Trepova was detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of involvement in an explosion in a cafe, which killed military officer Maxim Fomin, better known as Vladlen Tatarsky, and injured more than 30 people of varying severity.

"The necessary investigative actions are being carried out with her, the motives for the crime committed are being established. The investigation will decide on the choice of Trepova measure of restraint, "said the official representative of the IC Svetlana Petrenko.

Recall that immediately after the incident, the Investigative Committee opened a case on the fact of murder in a generally dangerous way (Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code). After that, Alexander Bastrykin put the course of the investigation under the control of the central office of the IC.

At the same time, the information center of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee reported that the explosion in a cafe in the center of St. Petersburg was planned by the special services of Ukraine.

"It was established that the terrorist act committed on April 2 in St. Petersburg against the well-known journalist Vladlen Tatarsky was planned by the special services of Ukraine with the involvement of agents from among the persons cooperating with the so-called Anti-Corruption Foundation * Navalny, an active supporter of which is the detained Trepova," the report said.

The NAC added that the investigation of all the circumstances of the crime continues.

In turn, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia published a video of the interrogation of Daria Trepova.

"For, I would say, staying at the scene of the murder of Vladlen Tatarsky. I brought this figurine there, which exploded, "the girl said.

Asked who gave her the statuette, she asked for time: "Can I tell you later?"

Recall that shortly before the explosion, Tatarsky was presented with a statuette. This was told to RT by an eyewitness of the events in the cafe Nikolai.

At the same time, the RT source believes that Daria Trepova could have been used in the dark. According to him, this version is being considered by investigators.

Maxim Fomin (better known by his pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky) was born in Makiivka, Donetsk region, joined the militia in 2014, and later gained fame thanks to his coverage of the events in the Donbass. In the years that followed, he wrote several books, including War and Running.

The official representative of the Kremlin also called the incident a terrorist attack.

"Now there is an active phase of the investigation, we see quite energetic steps to detain the suspects. In any case, let's be patient and wait for the statements of our special services that work there. There is evidence, judging by the statement of the NAC, that Ukrainian special services may be related to the planning of this terrorist attack, and, of course, this is a terrorist attack, "said Dmitry Peskov.

He also explained why there is a possibility that representatives of the Kiev regime were involved in the incident, in particular, recalling the murder of Daria Dugina.

"Russia is facing the Kiev regime. This is a regime that supports terrorist actions, this is the regime that is behind the murder of Daria Dugina, this is the regime that is quite possibly behind the murder of Fomin, behind the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, this is the regime that has been behind the killing of people for many years since 2014, which is why a special military operation is being carried out, "the press secretary of the President of Russia added.

Peskov wished a speedy recovery to all the victims and expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of Fomin.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, as a result of the incident, 32 people were injured, one died. At the same time, the condition of ten victims is assessed as serious, 16 people are in a state of moderate severity, including a 14-year-old girl.

In addition, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation stressed that Vladimir Putin "was immediately informed" about the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg.

The Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) is included in the register of NGOs performing the functions of a foreign agent by the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation dated 09.10.2019. The organization is recognized as extremist, its activities are banned in Russia by the decision of the Moscow City Court of 09.06.2021.
