The families, who are experienced ice floe passengers, sawed off a large ice floe themselves, put on an electric motor and set out on the river. This time the sauna tent also got to hang out.
– Can it be better than sauna and cold bath while floating slowly downstream in the sunshine and hearing the wood crackle in the stove? says Johan Brandberg.
Safety and preparation
The tour, which went along Sundbornsån outside Falun, was well thought out before departure.
"We scouted a stretch of river with calm water, a suitable bay to start and end with. The children had life jackets, we had a dry change of clothes in case someone was going to plurge. Before the tour, we had a safety briefing and went through different possible scenarios, says Johan Brandberg.
