Cadiz football has been shocked this Sunday to learn of the death of Francisco Naval Pérez, 24-year-old player of Chipiona CF, a Second Andalusian club who lost his life last morning after being stabbed on Saturday afternoon in a street in this town by a 20-year-old who has already been arrested.

The club of this coastal town of Cádiz has expressed its great sorrow on social networks for the death of its footballer, which occurred last morning in the Puerta del Mar hospital in Cádiz when he could not recover from the injuries suffered by the stabbing with a large knife of which he was a victim about two in the afternoon on Saturday.

Chipiona CF regretted that Paco, as his footballer was known, "had his whole life ahead of him" and conveyed his condolences to his family.

Paco Naval, married with a daughter, played in the quarry of Atlético Sanluqueño, which also showed in a statement its "most heartfelt pain" for the "unfortunate and unexpected" death of the young footballer.

"Our thoughts are with their families and with the Chipioneer people in these hard times, where we transfer all our strength and energy. D.E.P.," he added.

Cádiz CF also conveyed its "deepest condolences" for the event and sent "a lot of strength" to Chipiona CF, his family and friends.

Racing Portuense described Paco's death as an "irreparable loss" and joined the "pain" of his family, while Xerez expressed its "deepest condolences", especially "to the entire Chipiona CF family".

The Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF), among other clubs and entities, also transferred its "deepest condolences" for the death of the player to "all his relatives and relatives, as well as the entire family of the Cadiz club."

As reported to EFE by the Civil Guard, the stabbing, in the chest, occurred with a large knife, at two in the afternoon, without a word and without known links between the alleged aggressor and the victim, both natives of Chipiona.

After the attack, the young Chipiona player was transferred to the hospital of Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) and later to Jerez de la Frontera, in that same province, but given the seriousness of the injuries he was taken by helicopter to the Puerta del Mar Hospital in Cádiz, where he died in the early hours of Sunday.

The alleged murderer, with no record in this type of crime, is detained in police stations waiting to be brought to justice.
