Code was tapped into the last and once the competitions started, they proved to be challenging, both for the robots and the participants' psyches.

– I think everyone is doing a really good job and I think some will succeed with the tasks, says Elliot Gestrin, project manager.

"It went a bit like that"

Robotics is the study of robots and for the competition all teams had built their own unique robots that with the help of sensors found their way on courses and mazes. A robot that had some difficulty finding its way out of the maze belonged to Gabriel Tinghed, who usually attends Berzeliusskolan in Linköping.

"It went a bit like that, it didn't really ride as it should," says a not too disappointed Gabriel Tinghed, who has only worked with the robot for a month with his classmates.

The winners from the weekend will go on to get the chance to represent Sweden in the World Cup later this year.
