The president, who has so far remained behind this very unpopular measure, intends to draw a way out of the crisis without changing his government or relying on the voters.

After two months of massive protests in France, the forced passage of the reform last Thursday through 49.3 has sparked renewed anger. Spontaneous protests erupted across the country, sometimes leading to outbursts.

While the strike movement remains particularly followed in the oil sectors and among garbage collectors, a ninth day of interprofessional mobilization is planned Thursday at the call of the interunion.
