The IC opened a case on the death of the director of the enterprise in the explosion of a car in Melitopol

This is stated in the message of the investigative body.

According to investigators, on March 14, 2023, an unknown person planted an improvised explosive device under the man's vehicle.

When he got into the car in the courtyard of the house No. 48 on Kirov Street in Melitopol, the explosive device went off, the car caught fire.

The director of the enterprise died of his injuries in hospital. A woman inside the car was injured.

Investigative and operational-search measures are being carried out to identify those involved in the commission of the crime.

The IC added that forensic examinations are being conducted, the investigation continues.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the murder of the platoon commander of the PPS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Novokakhovsky District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region.
