The two men, who disputed the final sprint, are now at the top of the general classification, far ahead of the Dane Jonas Vingegaard, who lost 43 seconds on his great Slovenian rival.

Accelerating 2.5 km from the summit, Pogacar first joined Gaudu, who started in the lead, a few hundred meters further, to remain the strongest on the line after this final ascent of 6.7 km at 7.1% on average.
