According to American intelligence, the Russian leadership has so far avoided actions that could expand the conflict in Ukraine beyond the borders of this country.
The document also refers to significant risks of escalation of the situation.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Washington does not want the Ukrainian conflict to end and is doing everything to ensure that it continues.
According to him, there are no prerequisites for the transition of the situation in Ukraine to a peaceful course, so Russia will achieve its goals through a special military operation.
