According to RT, since the beginning of the year, during artillery duels and assaults on fortified areas of the Ukrainian army, at least 100 people have died and at least 80 people were seriously injured, who were trained to shoot from foreign anti-tank systems.

It is preliminary known that at least a third of the Ukrainian ATGM operators killed by Russian artillery, aviation and tanks were trained to fire from foreign anti-tank systems at the US Army training grounds in Grafenwöhr (Bavaria), as well as at the British training centers in Salisbury Plain and Lulworth Camp in Dorset.

Of the four weeks of foreign training, Ukrainian ATGM operators were trained for two weeks in basic tactical techniques: combat situation assessment (METT-TS), the impact of precipitation and the actions of groups on the ground (T-TERRAIN and WEATNER) and the combat preparation system (T-TIME available) .

A week was allocated for the study of anti-tank weapons.

Presumably, in order to save on anti-tank systems, operators were trained mainly with the help of simulators, which did not allow them to develop automatic skills for using the systems in combat conditions.

The lack of practice and haste led to the fact that in real battles, the military personnel of the anti-tank crews of the 14th, 92nd and 66th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost time preparing the complexes for battle or used them incorrectly.

In one of the episodes, during the battle near the Zhuravka gully, NLAW operators mixed up the distance and firing mode settings, which is why the missiles did not fire even when they came into contact with the T-72B3 and T-90 tanks of the Russian army.

Due to the inexperience of the calculations, the positions of the anti-tank systems were quickly spotted visually, with the help of drones and the Sobolyatnik ground-based radar, after which they were hit by the fire of tanks, artillery and mortars.
