Personnel from security companies were deployed - providing security in Kfast's residential areas

In June 2022, Kfast started the security emergency.

It is staffed with personnel from a security company, but Kfast points out that they do not work as security guards, but their task is to create security in residential areas.

- They are our extended arm, says Gerd Sahlberg.

The security guards are out in the residential areas seven days a week during the evening and sometimes at night.

Drugs in basement spaces

Every week, parts of the municipality meet together with the police to get an overview of security in Eskilstuna.

In the reports from these meetings, it has emerged on several occasions that it was noisy in the stairwells and that narcotics were found in basements in Kfast's properties.

Gerd Sahlberg says that their security company handles messes in the stairwells, but that the police are contacted in cases where narcotics are found.
